Your level of education is far above mine but you seem to be patient enough to endure the differences .The article that I read, that allowed me to search and read more about you ,was on compost. My sense (or hope at least) is that more people in our generation are leaning towards sustainable practices, organics, permaculture, etc, but in this case both the gardeners belong an older generation. The bigger difference perhaps is that one grew up in post-WW2 Norway, the other in Vietnam where chemicals for weeds, insects and fertilization have been too expensive for widespread use.Melissa Anna Murphyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16372966577684939001noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8210196757800785014.post-57593433860233766232012-05-04T07:26:13.791-07:002012-05-04T07:26:13.791-07:00Reading this very interesting post reminds me just...Reading this very interesting post reminds me just how far away from nature most people are.
However, do you see any difference between the aesthetic perception of younger and older generations?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12231109937991471547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8210196757800785014.post-26392363039506483152011-11-11T07:06:45.640-08:002011-11-11T07:06:45.640-08:00Unfortunately, in this crazy-mixed up-litigious wo...Unfortunately, in this crazy-mixed up-litigious world, the barrage of signage is also a reminder of the erosion of common sense in our societies.

In some respect, the disregard for signs/directions (especially in big cities) is also a reflection of everyone's self importance.

Do now, sue later!kevinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13515579412570649042noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8210196757800785014.post-51912623360658266102011-03-09T13:57:37.526-08:002011-03-09T13:57:37.526-08:00Hi Melissa, Thank you for keeping me in the loop....Hi Melissa, Thank you for keeping me in the loop. They are fascinating. Hope you will enjoy Christmas in Norway. We were in Norway and in Sweden for the holidays in 1988 with our family. It was like a fairy land at our daughter's and son-in-law's home on the hillside in Fetsund. We found the people reluctant to be friendly, but if we began a conversation they would respond in most events. Our daughter had their second child (Ryan, now 20 and in college) while they lived in Norway. Enjoy the rest of 2009 and Happy New Year. Hope to see you upon your return to the USA.
